Beep app version 2: your own digital inspection sheet!

How convenient would it be if you could put together your own digital hive logbook? Depending on the time of the year, what you want to track or research or cultivation and selection. Beep has been updated automatically, so you now have the new version.

How does it work?

When you open a new inspection, you will see at the top a button called 'edit checklist'. With check marks you can select or deselect items. It is also possible to change the order. This way you can personalize your inspection sheet. In the example here below several subjects have been added:

What else has improved?

Based on feedback from users of Beep, improvements have been made, such as the ability to adjust historic inspections, removal of inspections, improvements to the hive overview such as the display of reminders, data export to Excel, setting reminders in your agenda, design improvements and extension of lists such as cabinet types.

Beep digital monitoring system

The system contains sensors for weight, temperature outside and inside the hive, humidity outside and a microphone in the bee colony. The first prototypes are currently piloted and the development is still on-going. What the possibilities are with measurement on bee colonies can be found in this presentation. If you want to contribute to the design and development of this 'smart hive’, please contact us! As soon as more is known about order options, we will let you know via email and website.
